About
Alessandro Pugi is a travel and documentary photographer based in London, UK, where he combines his own photography projects and freelance assignments with his job as engineer.
Alessandro’s passion for photography derives from the encounter of his interests for art, history, travelling and adventure. He travelled in more than 30 countries and he photographically explored remote and challenging locations such as the silver mines in Potosi, Bolivia and Buddhist temples in Kashmir-Ladakh, India.
Alessandro’s interest is attracted by strange and unusual customs of different cultures which may challenge our understanding of the world. He aims to find a balance between the artistic and the documentary value in each photograph pursuing an ideal Fine Art-Documentary Photography discipline.
His achievements include finalist in 2010 National Geographic Photography Contest.
